2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser or device when you visit it. Alongside cookies, websites may use other local browser storage technologies with an equivalent purpose, such as localStorage and sessionStorage. Throughout this document, and in line with applicable law, we refer to all of them jointly as "cookies and similar technologies".
This website does not use third-party behavioural advertising cookies nor third-party analytics tools. The analytics used are first-party and serve solely to measure and improve the operation of the website.

The cookie_consent, ian_lang, ian_lang_choice, lang_suggestion_dismissed, ian_nl and ian_si items are strictly necessary — to remember your choice, to serve the site in your language and to avoid repeating notices — and by their nature do not require consent.
4. Data we process
- Browsing data: pages visited, time on page, scroll depth, clicks and form interaction.
- Technical data: device type, browser, operating system, language, screen size and referring page.
- Browser identifier: the pseudonymised identifier described in section 3.
- IP address and approximate location: we process your IP address and, from it, derive an approximate geographic location (country, city and network operator). The IP address is personal data.
5. Purpose
The data described is processed in order to measure and analyse the use of the website, understand the aggregate behaviour of its visitors, and improve its content, usability and operation. The data is not used for behavioural advertising and is not shared or sold to third parties for commercial purposes.
6. Legal basis
Processing is based on the controller's legitimate interest in analysing the use of its own website and improving its operation (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), balanced against your rights through the information in this policy and your ability to object at any time, and, where applicable, on the consent you give through the cookie notice shown when you access the site (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may object to this processing at any time as set out in section 10.
7. Retention
Browsing records are kept for a maximum of 30 days on this website's server and up to 12 months in the controller's centralised analytics system, where they may be consolidated with records from other services operated by the same controller. After that period they are deleted or anonymised, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.
8. Recipients and international transfers
The technology providers necessary to host the website and operate the analytics act as data processors. In particular, to obtain the approximate location from the IP address we use an IP geolocation service based in the United States, which involves an international data transfer to that country, covered by the appropriate safeguards under Chapter V GDPR. No other data is shared with third parties except where legally required.
The specific identity of each processor is recorded in the controller's record of processing activities and can be provided to you on request at info@industrialai.news.
9. Fonts
This site loads its typeface from Google Fonts. When a page is displayed, your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and technical data about the request. This site embeds no third-party video.
10. How to accept, reject or manage storage
When you access this site, a notice lets you accept or reject the analytics. If you click "Reject", your browsing is not recorded and your choice is remembered. You may also, at any time:
- Configure or delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings.
- Clear your browser's local storage (for example, in the developer tools, under "Application" → "Local Storage") to generate a new anonymous identifier.
- Use your browser's private browsing modes.
Disabling these technologies does not affect your ability to browse the site, as they are analytical in nature and not essential to its operation. Note that disabling functional storage may affect the forms and the language preference.
11. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to info@industrialai.news, indicating the right you wish to exercise. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. As the Foundation has its registered office in Spain, that authority is the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD); you may also contact your own national authority, which you can identify through the European Data Protection Board.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to adapt it to legal or technical changes. The version in force will at all times be the one published on this page, with its last-updated date shown above.
